Traveling today

Today is a travel day, and all that Anne-Marie and I know is that we are heading somewhat east from Hood River.  I would like our travels to get close to South Dakota, and Anne-Marie might be looking at a path a little further south across Nebraska perhaps.  We have a common goal of reaching Urbana, Illinois to visit our daughter Sara, son in-law Michael and granddaughter Grace by mid July.  We have traveled most of the major highways, east and west, and all of them have their highlights, and what ever we decide, we will enjoy.

Some of you might have a little stress about a cross country trip with no planning, even on the departure day, I would before we had some experience traveling.  We only pull the trailer till 3:00PM or so, and we can judge what town and RV park we can reach in a days travel, and if we are tired, we stay around for a day or three.  We stay over more often than traveling multiple days, as our endurance isn’t what it used to be.
We generally fuel the van without the trailer in tow, but sometimes it can’t be avoided, and we look for a truck stop that can accommodate RVs.

When we get on the freeway, we will reach a intersection that will be life altering, left or right.
