Anne-Marie and I had a late start moving yesterday, and we pulled the trailer until 4:00 in the afternoon. We drove through Bowling Green, Ohio, and passed by a large GM plant, and they had a couple of new trucks displayed next to the highway. This plant was an easy 1/4 mile square, if not larger. We could see large automotive plants in the distance during our drive through that had steam or something coming out of them, that made me think that whatever it did, it was in operation, and the economy must be ok in this area. By the time we got checked in, and setup here in the RV Park, we just stayed in the RV Park for the evening. This KOA park is huge, over 500 spaces and cabins for camping, and there is just as much for family’s to do here as the Jellystone RV Park in Austin, Minnesota. Anne-Marie and I walked around the park, and there were groups of kids at all of the activity areas, as well as family groups with enough tents setup to look like small villages. Anne-Marie is sure that there are over 1000 people here, and many camping spaces are still available. We found that the park is right on the water, and some of the tent sites back up to the bay. This park has a concession stand near one of the playgrounds, and in addition to $1.00 hotdogs, they have a pancake breakfast on the weekends.
We haven’t firmed up our touring day today, but I think that we will checkout the lesser intense tourist attractions, until after the weekend, and no pressure to do or not do anything.
We have a pretty good site here, internet, 70+ channels cable TV, and all utilities hooked up.
