Yesterday I got the porch mats nailed down, and they don’t need the furniture and Bar-B-Que scattered about to hold them in our space when the wind blows. My arms are not used to swinging a hammer anymore, and my hands ache today.
This is what we have around our house, hiking sticks at the front of the trailer, Bar-B-Que, tables and chairs, and a case of beer, surrounded by the patio light rope. Anne-Marie will probably rearrange a few items here, to get a better view of the bird feeders.
The seed block has been getting a lot of interest from birds and bunnies. There are quail, doves, and bunnies, sharing the seed block. It amazes me that the bunnies and the birds get along really well together, and share alongside of one another, and the birds don’t spook at all when the bunnies approach them.
The birds don’t feed at night, but the bunnies do, and the seed block had had a small visitor, a mouse. The mouse is too small to trigger the camera, but the bunny behind the block triggered it, and the mouse is on top of the block.
Another nighttime visitor is the coyote, and this one was on site just 20 minutes before I walked out of the trailer, to exchange the memory card. He seems to be really interested in all of the smells that the small animals have left.
Then he does this!
Anne-Marie and Steve have suggested moving the seed block out of the wash, and up to an open area within 100 feet of the happy hour patio. The animals and birds have been staying in the wash area since the seed block has been set out, and we all would like to watch them feed.
Yesterday, I helped a neighbor with a truck problem, I got our patio anchored, and all this in time for happy hour. Today we are going to Copper Crest to look at houses for sale, with our friend Steve, and then run a few errands before happy hour.
